For as long as I can remember, 
I have watched you from a distance. 
How I've studied the ways in which you smile, 
the softness and warmth of your laughter. 
 
It's seems as though it's been forever, 
that I have wanted to share with you my thoughts. 
Though the biggest fear that any one person can hold, 
is not having any of those feelings returned. 
 
How my heart swells at the thought of you, 
of having you close by my side. 
To travel with you throughout the remainder of my existence, 
and be that shoulder to lean on should you need to cry. 
As I long to support you, from each and every angle, 
to have us view our lives as one. 
 
I've considered allowing for you to know who I am, 
though for me, it's just so hard. 
Wanting something and someone like you never have before, 
however with just a mere few words....to have your world come undone. 
 
You have such a wonderful and paramount soul, 
Within you...an everlasting spirit. 
 
To be able to reveal my feelings to you... 
It's taken great thought, 
So for now, I will continue to feel as I do, 
in great silence from afar.
