Washing over me like a rain shower all too familiar, 
the sound of small droplets whispering to me the recognised pain. 
Swirling and piroutting within the aching distance, 
singing to me, the pages of yesterday's novel. 
The many chapters in which my love was lost; 
coursing through my body, the endless hums of tradegdy. 
 
You answered my call and I knew all too well, 
that the informed voice at the other end of the line, 
was going to rip from me my heart. 
So blantatly you placed it in front of my face, 
waving it before me with such little grace. 
 
At that very moment, I'd realised that so many times before I had read this book, 
though continued to read it until the very end. 
To make sure that the final chapter was going to be written as such, 
to know that the main characters were so deeply out of luck. 
 
Twelve months it took me to read your novel, 
to welcome the main characters into my soul. 
To mould them into my heart, 
to ignore the many typos and flaws. 
To become accustomed to the dog ears, and the hard to read font. 
To have made the many conclusions myself when I couldn't understand the print. 
 
Forever I shall place this novel of yours, 
back along the shelf. 
Just as my love for you will be lost, 
and never opened again.
