Not always have you been a man of many words. 
Though I know that you love me. 
 
Seldom do you display your emotion and support. 
Though in your eyes, I see understanding and warmth. 
 
I haven't always made the best decisions in life, 
though not once have you stopped to judge me. 
 
I've rarely ever been one to ask, 
though you hold out a hand to show me that you are there. 
 
It's for all of these reasons, 
and so many more. 
That I love you ever so dearly, dad. 
For simply being you.
