My Beautiful Mother - by M. Liewes 
 
I send you this poem, with all of my true love and spirit. 
For the warmth of your love throughout the years, has taught me ever so 
greatly. 
To respect. To care. To love and to dream. To never let go of my firm grasps 
and beliefs. 
 
Despite the paths that I have chosen in life, and regardless of the mistakes 
that I have made: Forever, you have been there to support and guide me. 
 
How I remember as though it were yesterday, when you used to brush my hair 
and tuck me in at night. 
Or when I had my heart broken for the very first time, how you'd rocked me 
in your arms and told me that everything was going to be alright. Knowing 
that I would never believe you. 
 
You are my mother, confident and guide. However, you are my best friend. 
 
Not a day passes when you aren't within my thoughts and heart. 
 
I love you.
