To live within this world, 
and know what it is that I'm feeling. 
 
To shelter you with all of my love, 
and know that you are smiling. 
To count your whispers throughout the night, 
when I hear you call my name. 
 
I lie here and softly close my eyes, 
with the deepest of thoughts to ever have experience. 
 
To hold you, 
and have your sweet lips brush against mine. 
To know how you smile in front of me. 
 
To hear you laugh, 
and know that you're ever so content. 
To know you: is to love you. 
 
So when the earth is dark, 
when there's nobody around, 
and everything appears as being so distant. 
Know that I am here. 
Loving you with my complete and 
entire soul....
